Our client, a successful Training Provider who specialises in the delivery of work-based learning within a variety of sectors, is currently looking for a Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Assessor covering the Plymouth area.

The successful candidate will be home-based and responsible for the training, assessment and support of a caseload of learners undertaking QCF / Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care, and to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the qualifications in line with company procedures.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an Assessing qualification A1, D32/D33 or TAQA and the relevant experience within Health and Social Care preferably within a supervisory role.

A driving licence is essential.

*To be responsible for the provision of technical design authority support to the various Plant/Project Managers and Design &amp; Safety Managers covering Mechanical Building Services Engineering.
*To Lead and Manage a small team of Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers, planning and organising their tasks and facilitating progress, providing guidance as appropriate.

Key Skills and Knowledge

*Team Leadership and management ability and good communication and mentoring skills.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Editorial and briefing skills.
*Clear spoken and written English. Numerate and computer literate.
*Building Services knowledge and experience.

Key behaviours and Technical Competencies

*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Good Self Motivation.

Experience
*Sound understanding of Mechanical Building Services Engineering design and safety practices.
*Project specification, planning project management and budgeting experience.
*Sound understanding of building services industry related Legislation, Codes and Standards.
*Familiarity with Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health &amp; Safety and Quality requirements.
*Working knowledge of engineering office computer applications and design analysis software packages.
*Experience of the design support to construction, operation, maintenance of building services.

Qualifications

*A degree or HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Building Services engineering discipline.
*Preferably Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and a Member of a relevant Engineering Professional Institute or working towards a professional qualification (CEng, IEng). Alternatively suitable experience may be considered in lieu of professional qualifications.
